In 1972, Trading & Agency Services (Trags) was incorporated with the commitment to serve the oil & gas sector in Qatar by supplying specialized industrial products and providing after-sale support and maintenance. As the complexity of products increased, Trags focused on expanding its expertise, technical facilities and know-how to fulfil the needs and requirements of the major petrochemical clients, thus, extending a range of special services ranging from chemical and hydro-jet cleaning to fabrication of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.
With facilities across Qatar’s industrial cities to accommodate its fabrication yards, workshops and storage sites over an area of 50,000 sq.m and a management commitment for health, safety, environment and quality control standards, Trags has transformed into a leading industrial maintenance provider, undertaking scheduled shut-downs, emergency responses and plant turnarounds.
In 2008, Trags and the global services arm of Fluor Corporation, a leading US company, established Qatar National Facility Services, a joint venture partnership combining local knowledge with international best-in-class practices in order to provide full scale asset management services – ranging from asset maintenance, asset improvement, asset modification and asset operation – for owners of major industrial and petrochemical plants.
